Skyrgamur.....skyr gobbler

Skyrgamur......skyr-gobbler arrived today and made a straight line for the dairy, where he found a barrel of skyr* He gobbles down all the skyr and is rewarded with stomach aches and pains. He is heard far and near, as he cries out “I should not have eaten all the skyr”.

*Skyr is a dairy product similar to yogurt that has been an stable part of the Icelandic diet for more than 1100 years.

Lisa: It is so good....Whole Foods has it and we get it from time to time.

MizBohemia: I think you and Skyrgamur have a fight on your hands. It is like yogurt only much better :)

Rachael: LOL and thank you :)

There is my dear little Skyrgamur... just the way you made him :-) He is so cute, and has been behaving himself on my buffett. Mo'a you are lucky to have a supply of skyr available; I'm jealous. Our whole foods has nothing - no Icelandic lamb, nor skyr. Boo hoo. Did you read about Skyrgamur in Iceland who is in the hospital today after mistakenly drinking some paint he thought was his delicious skyr? (Icelandic Review)

I am learning all kinds of things about Iceland from your stories and wee characters.

Well I know he's a mischevious little fellow - but he's so adorable I'd be sorely tempted to stock up on skyr just to tempt him!
