Skyrgamur.....skyr gobbler
Skyrgamur......skyr-gobbler arrived today and made a straight line for the dairy, where he found a barrel of skyr* He gobbles down all the skyr and is rewarded with stomach aches and pains. He is heard far and near, as he cries out “I should not have eaten all the skyr”.
* Skyr is a dairy product similar to yogurt.

Hi Mo'a. I love your blog and am amazed by your art. I came to you through Monika. I am Iranian- Danish/Icelandic (my grandfather was Danish/Icelandic) and though I have family and contacts and Danish traditions I keep up with, I have lost my Icelandic heritage. I know I have family in Iceland but have never met them. Hopefully some day! But in the meanwhile, I might learn a thing or two hanging out here! When my grandfather moved to Denmark, he kept the same last name for everyone so my maiden name was Sigurdsson (although if I went by tradition I should have been Asadsdottir... my father is from Iran)...
Anyway, I have rattled on but it has been exciting to stumble unto your blog and I have linked to you!

I am very glad you found your way here though. It is quite amazing and I check it daily. This woman is so talented and I am waiting for her newest post...it is almost midnight her ein Iceland and teh next Yulelad is on his way. maybe he did snatch her?!
