Favorite Places in Arhus

I have fallen in love with Denmark, that is a good thing, for two reasons.
One: My son and daughter-in-law live there, as well as their extended family. We all get along well and have a great time together .
Two: Now you won’t be listening to me just talking about Iceland, I will also be talking about Denmark.
Here are photos of some of my favorite places in Arhus.

On the street where they live.

Farther down the street where they live.

Someone knew I was coming.

We stopped here for coffee at 11:00AM, there were others there, who had the same idea.

We visit this family everytime we go to Arhus.

Shopping....what more need I say? :)

The oldest street in Arhus....I have people on a look out for a For Sale sign.
I can dream can't I?

Such lovely pictures!

I have a dear blogging friend who lives there...she never told me it was so pretty! I have Danish roots, so maybe I'd better look for a "to let" sign as well! Although, Iceland still has my heart.

Denmark is an incredibly pretty country. Everything is so clean and well taken care of.
Iceland and Denmark are playing tug of war with my heart....Iceland the land of my birth and Denmark where my loved ones live....good thing they are only a two hour flight away from each other.

Beautiful! I must go there sometime, soon. My grandmother Grethe grew up in Århus, I don´t know exactly where, though.

Móa, why has it become so difficult for me to read your blog, it´s twice as wide as it used to be and goes outside the frame of my screen (is that the right way to say it in English?)? And I get the picture at the top twice, side by side!? :(

I love those pictures and Arhus. all I know of Denmark is Andersen, and your pictures somehow fit with my fairy-like notions of Denmark. :)

You don't know what these pictures mean to me! Going back home has been, and still is, a long time coming and I cannot wait until the day arrives... the cleanliness and order suits me and my OCD to a tee... but it is a very freeing sensation with the Danes, not at all restrictive... I will stop here before I go on and on and on!

Saumakona... what browser are you using? My site is all screwed up in Firefox and now that you are asking that about Mo'a's site I suspect it must be with Firefox as well... Try it out on IE and it should be fine!

Greta: You will love Arhus this was my third trip there and this time I had a great guide and saw the best...I love the photo of your Grandmother Grethe.
I was going to ask MizBohemia to answer your question....she is my techinal guru....and she as beat me to it. I am chalenged in this department.
MizBohemia: *whisper* I put these up for you. I am glad you like them.
The Danes are wonderful and well balanced I think....I felt very relaxed the whole time I was in Denmark....my daughter-in-law's family is wonderful and so very welcoming...I knew that would be the case because she herself is so very special.

Thank you for answering the question for me on the problem Saumakona is having with my site.
I am going to e-mail you with a new idea. *mysterious*

Miz Bohemia, you were quite right. I´m mostly using Firfox. Tried IE, and there Móa´s site looks fine and like it should. Thank you!

i had no idea Denmark was so beautiful ... or charming. actually, maybe i did. i remember my grandmother took a cruise (many years ago) to Europe, and her favorite county was Denmark, in fact the gifts she brought back for my sisters and I were from Copenhagen. we each got a lovely little bracelet... which i have kept for over 40 years.

and now i know where i want to live if and when the real you-know-what hits the fan in *this* country. hey... i'm 1/2 Swedish, part German, English and Irish... i'll fit in, right?

thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures, dear Mo'a... given your own magically artistic eye, it's not so difficult to see why you've fallen in love with such a magical place! xox

Oh what a magical place. Well if you can't live there, at least you have family there. Your artistic eye captured Denmark beautifully. I've never visited, who knows, some day...
