Blue Frog

I just finished this needle felted blue frog, that is on his way to Texas.
I always have butterflies in my stomach, when a piece of my art is on it’s way to a customer.
My head is filled with thoughts like “I hope it does not get lost in the mail” “What if they don’t like it and think they have spent too much money on the piece?” and “I wonder, I hope, I think, I know. I don’t know” in other words I drive myself crazy until I hear from the customer.
I have been lucky so far, as most of my customer have said that my pieces look better in person than in photos. So I guess the answer is to take bad pictures. I am good at that ;^) That is why I am taking classes in Photo Shop and reading my digital camera manual. I just hope that my photos won’t look better than my art in the future, that would defeat the purpose.

There seems to be a Blue Theme on this blog and To Live A Creative Life, where there are Blue Birds and A Blue Cat, go see for yourself ;)

Wonderful frog, Mo'a. I can assure you the customer will be more than pleased. I think we all go through exactly what you are talking about...I do it everytime I ship out a piece.

Oh MY!!!!! I would love to needle felt! It is becoming ever so popular! What a delightful creature!!! I love visiting you and watching your banner load up. It fills me with a feeling of tiptoeing through a hidden and abandoned castle with fairies all around!!!and secrets!!!! xxo, vanessa

He's absolutely CHARMING! (And NOW I know why Brie was blue! LOL! It must be the latest fashion color statement!) You MUST be kidding about ANYONE not loving this darling frog! Trust me! Your customer did NOT pay too much - if ANYTHING, he or she got a bargain!

adorable!!!! I love him!!!
& having the distinct honor of owning a piece of your art, I can say that it is highly unlikely that you are overcharging. Your work is exquisite. So much so that children recognize it's quality.
You don't have any reason to have butterflies but I sympathize. I never feel like my work is good enough.
I guess it goes with the territory

He certainly isn´t Kermit :) But what an expression and I think _ I am sorry to say- your photoes very good. That still can mean the actual piece is even better though.
I like this blue frog very much!

Mo'a, Julian is here with me right now and he is LOVING the frog as am I. I can only imagine it is even more charming in person or in frog, as the case may be.

Your work is always enchanting - can't wait to see some in person:) Paloma, we're coming!

Hello everyone, I am sorry that it has taken me so long to answer your wonderful comments.....my Aunt from Alaska has been here for a visit:)

Bonnie: Thank you.....I had a feeling that my fellow artists would understand :)

Vanessa: I knew there was a reason I connected with you.....you are like me...we want to try everything :)
Needle Felting is very popular indeed and for a good reason...it is great fun.
Thank you Venessa.....It makes me so happy to hear how people feel when they come here for a visit :)
And let me add that I feel the same way about your site...it is magic.....everyone go and visit Vanessa, you will be glad you did :^)

Kai: LOL indeed....come over to "To Live A Creative Life" later this afternoon and you will see that there is indeed a theme ;>
Thank you for the compliment...*whisper* I should hear from her later today...then I will know for sure.

Rachael: You are so good for my ego...thank you and thank your children from me.
You are right about us being insecure.....I think all artists feel like this.....we are after all bearing our soul.

Minka: That he is not...you will soon see which looks better....my work or my photos ;)Thank you for your compliments.

Gypsy Purple: :) The model was a blue frog....Dendrobates Azureus aka Blue Poison Frog.
I played around in Photoshop and made him red, orange and *gulp* green :)

Rachael: How special am I? My own page on your blog :)
He looks very much at home with your great bear :)

G: Paloma is very excited and is insisting on a bath.....I told her to wait for rain LOL
Thank Julian for me, nice to have new fans :)

Doug: You bet *ribbet* and I hear it is not easy to be green either *ribbet*

Mo'a! You're in your artist's "blue period"! Looks GOOD on you, too! Love the frog, and the bird on "Creative" gives me hope that winter might soon be over.

Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to say regarding your anxieties, you have a very satisfied customer in Santa Clarita. The next time a liquor store leaves the cash register open or visitors leave their wallet around my house I plan to be a customer again.

What a sweetie he is, I hope he arrived safely! I should have guessed you would recognize my Winblad plates. I actually have quite a few of his plates hanging. We received a number of them for wedding presents, and I had him sign one personally when he was visiting San Francisco, in the late 90's! I love his sense of whimsy and line! Didn't I see some of his work in your older posts too??? Hugs to you...

He is delightful, whimsical, charming and brings a smile to my face! I have no doubt your client is going to love him and think they underpaid.
Peace-
Linda

Ulla: I heard from the client...she likes him :)
Yes, I am sure you saw him in one of the older posts :)I have quite a collection of Bjon Winblad plates and figurines.....he is a great favorite of mine. I don't have any of his Rosenthal series.
You are so lucky to have met him :)

Thank you Linda :) She is very happy with him *whew*

Al: I hope my blue period bodes as well for me as it did for Picaso. Thank you :)
Today it feels like summer here...and I have not seen a blue bird again.....but someone is eating the Mealworms.

Doug: Perhaps you should play the lottery...you changes would be just as good :)

That froggie is perfect - love his eyes, and his toes!! He looks amazing - and I want to pick him up and give him a squeeze.

What did the frog say when he fell in the water?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOOOOOVE the Blue Frog! But then again, I love me anything you make my dearest and oh-so-missed LovaMóa!

And as one lucky enough to have received more than one piece of art from you I can most definitely say that your art NEVER disappoints!!! It is the most amazing feeling to hold one of your creations and to feel the texture and to allow as many senses as possible totally get lost in the magic that is your art! So worry not! 'Tis impossible, IMPOSSIBLE, to not like what you make!

And yes, I am back, for now! Hopefully I can get back in my routine again but, for now, baby steps back into the blogosphere! I sure did miss you though!

I love Blue! He's a great little frog Moa. I've sewn and done needle work all my life but I'm constantly amazed at the wonderful work done by those of you who needle felt. I've never tried it...guess I should.
I'm always worrying about my pieces arriving at their destinations in "one piece", and all the rest. Must be an artist thing.

the frog is perfect -- just as you are, dear Mo'a! having seen your amazing works up close and in person, i can attest to the fact that your (wonderful) photography does NOT do justice to the magic you create with incredible/impressive regularity.

love this little guy -- glad to know the client did, too! xoxo
