The Knitting Room

I was astounded, when I noticed how long it has been since the last time I posted.
The reason for my absence was computer problems. Just when I thought they were fixed, I had a slew of new problems, this time with my connection. After hours of tech help we are now up and running.

I had a lovely commission from my favorite yarn and knitting supply store, located here in Historic Medford, NJ, “The Knitting Room”
This store has the most wonderful yarns sorted and displayed by color. The official greeter of the store is the lovely little Pomeranian, Cierra.

I needed a snap for the felted bag that I showed a few posts ago. I took the bag to the Knitting Room. The owner of the store fell in love with the embellished face. She asked me whether I would consider making ten of them for her store. I told her I would and when I left the store, I was armed with all manner of yarns to use for embellishment. Aren’t they yummy?
I have now completed the ten faces and they are ready to be delivered. Here are some photos to show you how they turned out

Come over to, "To Live A Creative Life" and see what else I have been up to.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! I am LATE to the partay! And I have been checking in on you practically every day and wondering where you were although I suspected ongoing computer problems! Needless to say you were sorely missed and I am ecstatic that you are back!

As for the faces? Dios mio they are breathtaking and simply beautiful!!!! I am forever and ever in awe of your work my dearest LovaMóa! More, more, MORE P-LEASE!!!!!

Oh... just a side note... we were in Barcelona for just a day (we drove up to meet a mobster who showed interest in the house but he was too sticky and so no on the mobster... yeah... so something we would do! *sigh*) and we crammed it full of as much Gaudí art sightings as we could... we visited Casa Batlló, Sagrada Familia as well as Park Grüell and I kept thinking how you would love, love, LOOOOVE his art! I wish you were there so I could hear your take on it all!

Here's hoping that no more computer hiccups keep you away from us and that you are enjoying a fabulous and beautiful week my sweet LovaMóa!!!

Muchos boho besos! :-)

Kai: Felting is so much fun. I used to make cloth dolls...about 20 years ago and I painted the faces then...so I am going back to the beginning :)

Vanessa: Thank you...coming from you I feel complimented indeed...the customer was so excited about them...whew!!!!!

My dear MizB...thank you and it is good to be back.
*whisper* I don't want my computer to get any ideas...but we had a small hiccup yesterday...the tech people are now like family members, I talk with them so often.
I love Gaudi and because of that I have Barcelona on my list of places to visit :) Perhaps we should go there together before you leave Spain!!!
I look forward to seeing your video.

Rachael: Thank you Rachael, happy to be back :)

Last time I saw you, there was just one face. You sure work quick and those ten new ones are all different, yet thematically coherrent. I love teh way you see things in your mind and make them...just wonderful!

Here you are! I was wondering what happened to you. Ick! I hate it when I have problems with my computer- so frustrating. I am glad you are back up and on-line.

Love those yummy faces! You paint such gorgeous faces.

I had a little 3 lb. Pom that looked so much like the one in the picture. We lost her a year ago last Thanksgiving at the age of 16.
Peace-
Linda

Minka: I work fast when I need to get things done...the client had already been waiting for me too long :)It was such fun to be able to show you my art and my studio.

Linda: It was a pain...I missed my buddies here in the blog world.
Thank you it was such fun to paint faces again, after sculpting for years.

Cierra is wonderful, she is 6 years old and what a joy she brings to her owners. My Mother met her this week and fell in love...she told my Father that Cierra is the most beautiful dog she had ever seen...I agree with her.
